It's a very caring residential home, with high standards of staff available. Food seems to be of a high standard and the house itself is very grand and not at all typical of a care home. There is always a highly responsible person on reception from Monday to Friday who will always do their best to deal with anything. The dining room is very grand as well. Have had to deal with conversations with the local GP practice and this has all gone very smoothly.
The managers have been exceptional in their communication with us as a family and have been very attentive to mums medical needs. Helen is highly experienced in this area and this is very reassuring. Lesley (Administration Manager) is very friendly and helpful. Karen runs a very tightship and ensures clear policies and procedures are being implemented especially in relation to Covid.

Since being in Garrett House, my mother's quality of life has greatly improved. She enjoys the company of others and the extra attention she receives. Also, the activities she does are impressive.

Mum has only been living at Garrett House for a month. She is extremely happy, as are we. So far, we are extremely happy with the service and care provided by Garrett House and the staff.
Thank you to you all.

My mother-in-law is looking so much better since she has been in Garrett House. I am very pleased with how she has settled in and how happy she is..

Activities are fabulous and the lady who wears a pink uniform, is really amazing - she knows how to support and stimulate her residents. Mum loves this kind of contact - my only suggestion would be for there to be more of her.

My mum went to Garrett House for two weeks in March and didn’t want to go home. The staff management and everyone had made her stay perfect. Not only did she feel secure, the staff were so friendly and she loved the entertainment and going to the activities twice a week. She had one or two health problems and mobility was limited. She had Myeloma and the home offered palliative care, meaning she didn’t have to leave the home and could stay where she was safe and happy. My brother and I stayed with Mum until she passed away. The staff were so considerate to our feelings and Mum's right to the very end. I would recommend Garrett House to anyone looking for residential care.
I feel welcomed and valued when visiting. Staff extremely friendly and helpful. Patients appear well cared for and happy. I have witnessed many lovely caring relationships between patients and staff members.

People were supported to have maximum choice and control of their lives and staff supported them in the least restrictive way possible and in their best interests: the policies and systems in the service supported this practice.
