About Garrett House
Garrett House is a grand late Victorian, early Edwardian building in Aldeburgh, Suffolk that was originally part of the historical Garrett Estate. Later extensions in keeping with the style have been added to provide further facilities. Under new ownership since December 2022, Ashley Magee has started a programme of complete refurbishment to create a warm and friendly family orientated home.
The home is managed by Helen Osborne.
We provide 39 bedrooms complete with ensuite toilet and washing facilities. Specialised bathrooms are provided throughout the home to ensure that all residents are able to enjoy a bath or shower safely and with comfort.
As a residential home, we have access to the full range of NHS Primary Healthcare Professionals such as physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech therapists and district nurses. Our local district nurses with their experience and up to date training, attend Garrett House whenever a resident is in need of nursing care and are so familiar with us that we consider them part of our team.

End of Life Care
Our residential care home offers end of life care that ensures that our residents are comfortable and have a nice environment around them surrounded by their families towards the end of their lives.
It is a much more relaxed and peaceful environment that despite the difficult circumstances, offers a bit of extra comfort in the knowledge that our residents are well looked after for as long as they may require.
