Things to do in Aldeburgh
Snape Maltings
Snape Maltings is an arts complex on the banks of the River Alde. Best known for its Concert Hall, which is one of the main site of the Aldeburgh Festival. It has independent shops, galleries and eateries set in re purposed Victorian buildings.
Thorpeness
Thorpeness is a quirky village built in 1910 as a private holiday village. Created with the help of JM Barrie (author of Peter Pan) Thorpeness 'Mere is a huge, shallow boating area with islands that you can clamber on. Coffee shops, hotel and golf course and the beach are all close together.
Aldeburgh
Aldeburgh is famous for many things - good food, great fish and chips. Aldeburgh Music, Maggie Hamblings' Scallop on the beach, as well as a vibrant art and music scene. There are several art galleries, independent shops, one of the oldest and well kept buildings in the country The Moot Hall (which is a museum), as well as the stunning pebbled beach and sea for all to enjoy.

Visiting by car, the house can be found quite easily as we’re just off the main A1094 coming into Aldeburgh, reached from the A12 London / Lowestoft road.
Once in Aldeburgh go straight across the roundabout at The Railway public house and take the first turning on your right; Park Road. We’re the fifth house along on your left, there’s a large sign at the entrance and ample on-site parking.
