A group of us attended the Festival of Remembrance at Leiston Film Theatre. It was a wonderful occasion with the first half full of jolly music and singing featuring the Leiston RBL Band and Leiston Community Choir. The second half had a more sombre feel which provided a time for reflection. Standards were paraded and the young army and air cadets bought a lump to the throat when they retold poems and memories from soldiers past.
It was a moving spectacle and was lovely to see our residents proudly displaying their own medals.
